Watermarks: architecture in a fluid world

For our 2018 Spring School programme, the Royal Society of Architects in Wales invites you to explore the world of bluespace, aquatecture and waterfront masterplanning with the help of inspirational practitioners from across Europe who are influenced and inspired by the power and possibilities of the most fundamental element: water.

The RSAW Spring School returns this year on Friday 11 May 2018, with the theme 'Watermarks'.

This spring conference will once again be held in the intimate surroundings of Portmeirion Village, North Wales and features a full day of 'inspiration hour' lectures presented by leading practitioners of aquatecture and waterfront masterplanning from across Europe.

The conference will provide delegates with an opportunity to examine and learn from projects that tackle regeneration, manage flood risks, and stimulate the senses, while also being given the opportunity to engage in question and answer sessions with the designers behind these schemes.

Please note that although the Spring School itself is to be held on Friday 11 May, delegates can also book to attend an optional Welcome Dinner on Thursday evening, and/or a Reception Dinner on the Friday evening including overnight stays on Thursday and Friday at the wonderful Portmeirion Hotel.
