Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios won the competition to design University of Warwick’s new faculty of arts.
The University of Warwick sought designs for a flexible new building that encourages collaboration and allows creativity and innovation to flourish amongst its users. Feilden Clegg Bradley were unanimously scored most highly for the Quality criterion by the panel as they were felt to have captured the essence of the University’s vision and it was felt that their design would contribute significantly to the enhancement of the Central Campus.
FCB Studios will now work closely with the University of Warwick’s Estates team to develop their design over the coming months.
“This exciting project continues to raise the bar in the standards of the facilities we provide to support teaching and research on our campus, further enhancing the staff and student experience we seek to offer at Warwick. I’m extremely pleased that the new building, in close proximity to the Warwick Arts Centre, also further strengthens the University’s appeal as a cultural destination, creating space to engage with our local community through a range of opportunities including: language training, access to fantastic performance and exhibition zones, and other activities to support Coventry’s Cultural Strategy.”
