RIBA Preparatory course for the ARB prescribed exams

RIBA offer a short preparatory course for the ARB prescribed examinations. These are how overseas architectural qualifications are recognised in the UK. Passing the prescribed exams together with Part 3 will allow you to register as an architect in the UK.

The aim of this short course is to help you to prepare for the ARB Part 1 and 2 prescribed examinations. The sessions will introduce you to the process, explain the general criteria and graduate attributes and how to prepare your portfolio to demonstrate how you meet the criteria.

The course also shows you how to identify and then fill gaps in your work with targeted exercises. The course also includes guidance on preparing your comparative matrix/commentary and supporting material and ends with advice from a former ARB examiner.

The course will be presented by RIBA.

RIBA Individual portfolio reviews for the ARB prescribed exams

RIBA is offering the opportunity to attend a one-to-one individual portfolio review, at which applicants can book an hour’s consultation with a reviewer to go through their portfolio, in preparation for the ARB prescribed exams.

The individual one hour reviews will be conducted by former examiners of the ARB prescribed examinations.

Applicants will be required to submit their comparative matrix in advance of individual portfolio review sessions.
