Before you start
You must meet one of the following criteria, and if possible, have the required documents ready to upload before you proceed.
If you're based in the UK you'll need to either:
- Have RIBA recognised Part 1, 2 and 3 qualifications*
- OR have an architectural qualification listed in the European Union directive EC/2005/36
+ Access to the profession of architect
+ At least two years of practical experience (which can be gained during or after your qualification, from any country)*
If you're based outside the UK, you'll need to either:
- Have RIBA recognised Part 1, 2 and 3 qualifications*
- Have RIBA recognised Part 1 and 2 qualifications, plus a combined total of at least 2 years of practical experience*
- Have an architectural qualification listed in the European Union directive EC/2005/36
+ Access to the profession of architect
+ At least two years of practical experience (which can be gained during or after your qualification, from any country)* - Have full architect membership of one of the eligible 12 international institutes*
* Check which specific documents are required, or if your international institute is listed.
