The Belgian Defence has published a call for tender for the new Belgian Defence HQ. This is a Design-Build contract with an estimated value of EUR 165 million to EUR 175 million, and the deadline is 7 Oct 2019.
A “prior information notice without call for competition” was published on 31 October 2018 and the call for tender was published on 10 May 2019, with additional information published on 14 May 2019.

UK companies can apply for this project and submit a participation request. Only companies that are selected will receive the tender documents and will have the possibility to prepare a proposal. Criteria for the selection can be found in the documents above.
Important points to mention when sending the participation request:
- companies that would like to participate need to have previous experience with these type of projects (see annex A for more details)
- Companies need a security certification, “level secret” (delivered by UK or NATO)
- The tender will only be distributed in French and Dutch. The Belgian Defence will not provide an English version.
- The participation request as well as the proposal has to be in French or Dutch.
