Entries are now open for the new Heritage Angel Awards Wales

The RSAW is pleased to promote a new awards scheme for 2018; the Heritage Angel Awards Wales. These awards are designed to recognise and reward those individuals who have made a significant contribution to saving our heritage, particularly through projects involving the built environment. The awards are administered by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, and are sponsored by the Andrew Lloyd-Webber Foundation.

The search is on for Wales's Heritage Angels

Do you know anyone who could be nominated as a 'Heritage Angel'? A new Welsh awards scheme, sponsored by the Andrew Lloyd-Webber Foundation, has been launched in Wales to recognise people who have made a significant contribution to rescue our heritage. Anyone can nominate a person or project for the awards and the winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony in November 2018.

The Awards have five categories:

  • Best Rescue of an Historic Building or Place for projects under £5 million
  • Best Major Regeneration of an Historic Building or Place for projects in excess of £5 million
  • Best Contribution to a Heritage Project by Young People
  • Best Craftsperson or Apprentice on a Heritage Rescue or Repair Project
  • Best Heritage Research, Interpretation or Recording

The Heritage Angel Awards Wales are administered by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, sponsored by the Andrew Lloyd-Webber Foundation, and proudly promoted by the Royal Society of Architects in Wales.
