From promoting our Gulf Chapter of members, to seeking business opportunities for Chartered Practices, to building an expert community of local design professionals – we’re continuing to engage and collaborate across the Gulf.
In 2023 the UK exported £1.5 billion worth of Architectural services, 93% higher than 2022 and 147% higher than 2019 (pre-Covid); and the main export partner was Saudi Arabia, at £392 million. *
With major growth, transformation and investment in the built environment, Saudi Arabia remains a key trading partner – and we know it’s of particular interest to many members. To give RIBA members the best chance of making the most of these opportunities, we recently formed a strategic partnership with the KSA’s Architecture and Design Commission. We’re also bringing together a RIBA practice mission to Cityscape Global, and are inviting Chartered Practices to join us in advancing architecture in KSA. The Government’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is providing advice, offering on-the-ground support to facilitate the visit, and helping to identify opportunities for RIBA members in the KSA.
