RIBA’s stand at MIPIM 2023

Why join RIBA at MIPIM 2024?

RIBA Chartered Practices sit at the centre of our programme during MIPIM. Based on a dedicated stand, we provide a platform for practices to promote their work, network, and meet new clients during the busy four day event.

This is an ideal opportunity for small and medium-sized RIBA Chartered Practices to gain direct access to new development projects.

Joining the RIBA stand in the London Pavilion gives you:

  • space for your own marketing materials
  • RIBA staff on the stand at all times to represent your practice
  • a feature about your practice in our MIPIM printed materials and webpage
  • invitation to the RIBA launch reception at MIPIM
  • networking activities during MIPIM to promote your practice

Practice testimonials from MIPIM 2023

Learn how RIBA Chartered Practices' participation at RIBA at MIPIM 2023 led to success, insights, and a strong business foundation.

Simone de Gale - CEO, Simone de Gale Architects:

“We have exhibited with the RIBA stand on three occasions and 2023 was the most successful yet. The RIBA team helped us gain contacts with developers who were looking for architects for international projects. The stand was designed well, and had spaces to meet and greet visitors and to display our work. Generally, I have found MIPIM a great source of revenue income stream for our business, and we have transacted directly since 2022. This year has no shortfall as we again have contract negotiations being prepared with new connections from this year, and further revenues being prepared for downstream.

The RIBA at MIPIM stand has an important role to play in international business relations, and its presence in the London pavilion, provides leaders within the industry opportunity to network, and debate, pressing issues of the time, with a real focus on new innovative themes and solutions which can make a change, or resolutions which can bring the industry together.

We will continue to exhibit with RIBA at MIPIM over the coming years as we grow our international portfolio in Europe and further abroad.”

Richard Coutts, FRIBA - Director, Baca Architects:

“MIPIM is a good litmus test to understand how your practice is performing both domestically and internationally. Alliancing with the RIBA is a cost-effective way of testing the water – giving you a permanent base with the London stand but also the support of RIBA staff if you wish to seek out clients yourself in the wider conference space.

British Architects developed a specialism in ‘Aquatecture’ - Architecture in, on, near and underwater.  Make your specialisms known and have a succinct pitch ready. It’s a well-attended trade show and you’ll meet old faces as well as making new friends. RIBA Presidents past and current are also on hand to pass on their advice.

Baca Architects found it both insightful and good for business.”

Richard Holland - Director, Holland Harvey:

“Holland Harvey was proud to join  RIBA at MIPIM 2023, our first time attending the conference.

RIBA offered support and advice before the event to help us to understand what to expect and how best to plan our time.

The stand was incredibly well-located, and the facilities offered within the London pavilion were fantastic. Access during the week allowed us to host meetings, display and store collateral, which created opportunities for chance encounters with prospective clients and collaborators. A rolling presentation of our work was eye-catching and formed a dynamic backdrop to the conversation.

As a growing practice, meeting and engaging with the current Chief Executive and RIBA presidents was also helpful and informative. If absent, the RIBA team were always on hand to represent exhibiting practices and passed on information about delegates who had approached the stand for us to follow up – some of which have developed into meaningful leads.

A lively programme of talks and events provided structure to our time and allowed us to invite guests to join us on the stand. Being part of a larger cohort of practices also allowed us to get to know fellow architects professionally and socially and share our experiences. We will be back in 2024.”
