In these uncertain times, the collective power of RIBA membership is more important than ever. We are aware of the challenges our members are facing and, in order to support you at this time, we are reducing subscription fees for all full rate UK and International Chartered Members for 2021.
For example, the annual fee for the most common form of membership – a UK based Chartered Member who has been qualified for over five years – will decrease by over 8% to £399.
All other membership classes have their prices frozen at 2020 rates.
Our membership subscription rates are guided by economic factors, member research and sector benchmarking. Taking all this into account, the reduction in individual chartered subscription rates for 2021 has been a collective process involving the Membership Committee, the Executive, the Board and Council.
In addition to a fee reduction for all full rate Chartered Members, we will continue to offer significant concessions and support to those facing financial hardship, those on lower incomes, and retired architects. Free membership will also continue to be offered to Part 1 and Part 2 students at RIBA validated schools of architecture, anywhere in the world, and those on their year out between Part 1 and Part 2.
Further information will follow in the coming months regarding 2021 membership renewals, and our plans for the year ahead. Meanwhile, we wanted to let you know now, that not only will RIBA continue to serve as your voice, your network, and your champion, but also that in 2021 membership will be better value than ever.
