'Sometimes challenging, always rewarding and never dull'. This autumn, RIBA has several exciting positions available for members across the RIBA South West and RIBA Wessex regions to drive the RIBA agenda and influence in their area or across the wider regions.

'Sometimes challenging, always rewarding and never dull'. This autumn, RIBA has several exciting positions available for members across the RIBA South West and RIBA Wessex regions to drive the RIBA agenda and influence in their area or across the wider regions.

As a membership organisation, the RIBA thrives through the activity of its members and staff teams, and can offer you the opportunity to grow your skills, networks, and personal development.

Positions available from September 2018 are:

Chair Elect, RIBA Wessex (Bath, Bristol, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire)
A key one-year post that supports the RIBA Wessex chair in delivering activity and influence and, becoming RIBA Wessex chair in September 2019. If interested, please contact jon.watkins@riba.org for an informal conversation, or contact current chair Rebecca Ridge on rebecca@olearygoss.co.uk

Chair, RIBA Bristol & Bath
Key leadership role, a two-year post that leads and represents the RIBA Bristol & Bath committee and membership. Gain professional recognition and leadership skills. Work with a committed and active team, influence and work with local stakeholders. In the event of an election, the vote takes place at the RIBA Bristol & Bath AGM event on 27 September at City Hall, Bristol. If interested, please send up to 300 words on why you would like to lead RIBA Bristol & Bath to riba.southwest@riba.org, and/or contact jon.watkins@riba.org for an informal conversation. Deadline is 12 September.

Chair, RIBA Exeter

Chair Elect, RIBA Plymouth
A key post that supports the RIBA Plymouth chairs in delivering activity and influence and, becomes RIBA Plymouth chair in September 2019 (to 2021). If interested, please send up to 300 words on why you would like to take on this role to riba.southwest@riba.org

Chair Elect, RIBA Gloucestershire
A key post that supports the RIBA Gloucestershire chair in delivering activity and influence and, becomes RIBA Gloucestershire chair at an agreed time before September 2019. If interested, please contact current chair Tom Bell on tom.b@quattrodesign.co.uk for an informal conversation.

Treasurer, RIBA Bristol & Bath
Light touch account management and prepare year-end financial statements to an RIBA template. Gain experience of financial management of a small organisation, and great practice management CPD. Email riba.southwest@riba.org for a callback.

To offer flexibility, branch chair roles can be considered for a co-chair structure across two people. Please do contact the current chairs for an informal conversation, or to hear more about getting involved in your branch or region.
