Rewilding: Nature cannot wait, 13 July 2021

For the fifth talk in our Architecture Anew series, we showcased big and small ideas to inspire anyone and everyone to get involved in the rewilding movement, which calls on us all to reconnect with nature.

26 July 2021

The fifth talk in our Architecture Anew talk series brought people together to discuss new ideas about the role of architecture in designing a more sustainable future.

The rewilding movement asks us to see things differently. It asks us to shift our perspective from humans as distinct and separated from nature, to recognise that we are part of a complex ecosystem with other lifeforms. Therefore, instead of designing human-centric spaces, the built environment sector should be creating places for all life forms to thrive.

What are some of the ways that we can rewild our mindsets, everyday life, and architectural or design practice? This talk will showcase big and small ideas to help you reconnect with nature and start creating spaces for all human and non-human life.
