The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) is excited to reveal the first ever RIBA China Architect 100 digital guide, showcasing projects from outstanding Chinese architects.
The guide highlights the work of 100 architects from across the country and forms part of the RIBA China Architect 100 programme, launched in June 2020.
Organised by RIBA International, the programme aims to celebrate Chinese architecture through the RIBA Collections and publications and share with a global audience.
RIBA Director of International, Azlina Bulmer, said:
“Since opening our Shanghai office and officially entering the market in late 2019, our aim has been to celebrate and integrate China’s exceptional architecture on an international scale. This new publication provides a window into the development of contemporary Chinese architecture, the talent of Chinese architects and their important role in global design excellence.”
The programme is one of a series of activities by RIBA International including design competitions, academic tutorials and facilitating communication between Chinese and international architects.
