On 25 March 2021, the RIBA hosted its third instalment of the RIBA Gulf live lunch talks, with Tala Alnounou, livestreamed from Dubai, UAE.
This digital event aimed to highlight voices from across the Gulf to delve deeper into their projects and showcase various views within the region.
This exclusive lecture by Tala Alnounou, the Head of Marketing for MENA region at LWK + PARTNERS, discussed creative marketing for architects and the art of storytelling.
Being just an architect in its traditional sense is no longer enough, designers must now perform different roles throughout the design process. Buildings can hold entire histories within their walls, and architecture embraces our daily activities through indoor and outdoor spaces; telling stories of our culture, our past, the pace in which we develop, how we develop, and beyond. It is important to become the storyteller at various points in the process to effectively communicate the ins-and-outs of the design itself. From inception to delivery, all stories along the way are worth telling.
