On 31 March 2022, RIBA hosted its seventh instalment of the RIBA Gulf live lunch talks, with Tim Leigh, livestreamed from the UK.
Following the success of the RIBA Gulf live lunch talks 2021, the RIBA has launched a second season of talks. To start the season, on the final day of Expo 2020 Dubai, we invited Tim Leigh from Stage One for his insights on the transition of the Al Wasl Plaza from a complex construction site to a platform for breathtaking performances venue.
During the talk, Tim Leigh described the story of designing, manufacturing, installing, and operating the stage machinery within the Al Wasl Plaza and the transition of the Al Wasl Plaza from a complex construction site to a platform for a breathtaking performances venue.
Tim Leigh also explored the difficulties and successes inherent in working in such an Iconic structure. Additionally, the event provided a chance for the audience to interact with Tim and ask questions. Azlina Bulmer, RIBA's Director of International, hosted this event.
