The RIBA Singapore Chapter announces its official elections of the Chapter Committee.
We welcome members who reside in Singapore to stand for election to join the Committee. This is an exciting time for the Chapter and the RIBA as we seek to strengthen our influence and reach in the wider ASEAN region. Joining the committee will give you an opportunity to take part in shaping the chapter’s future.
Members who wish to stand will need to commit to active participation in chapter events and are expected to attend monthly meetings.
There are eight seats available for the following positions. Any RIBA Member with a declared address in Singapore who fulfils conditions stated in the RIBA Singapore Chapter constitution may stand for election for the following positions:
a. Chairperson
b. Honorary Secretary
c. Honorary Treasurer
d. Committee Members (x5)

Requirements
All candidates are to opt into the Singapore Chapter and will require two nominations from Chartered Members and to have completed a nomination form. If you are putting yourself forward for more than one position, please state this clearly on the nomination form. (You do not have to complete a separate form for each position.)
Only Chartered Members are eligible for the Chairperson, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer positions. General Committee Members shall be elected from any category of membership of the RIBA Singapore Chapter.
All candidates will also need to fill out an election statement outlining reasons for seeking the role. Completed election statements must be sent to RIBAinternational@riba.org by Friday, 10 September 2021.
If there is more than one nomination for a seat, voting will open on 13 September 2021 and close on 21 September 2021.
