A house extension, a car factory and a high school are among 11 projects shortlisted for this year's RIBA West Midlands Awards.
RIBA West Midlands Director, Rebecca Smith, welcomed the news:
"This year’s RIBA West Midlands shortlist range from a £91,000 house extension to a £182 million facility for Jaguar Land Rover. It is fantastic see such diversity in a shortlist that celebrates the great architecture within the West Midlands. As an architect myself, I was very impressed with the quality of the submissions from across the region and it was a very tough decision for the judges to form the shortlist of 11 projects.
"It is encouraging to see the high standard of architecture across so many sectors and I congratulate the architects, clients and wider teams involved in creating these projects which serve to enrich our communities."

Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly coveted RIBA National Award in recognition of their architectural excellence. The shortlist for the RIBA Stirling Prize, the best new building of the year, will be drawn from the RIBA National Award-winning buildings and the Stirling Prize winner will be announced after this.
