The first month of 2022 saw RSAW engage directly with Welsh Government on two separate policy issues.
Following conversations with members in late 2021, we wrote to Julie James MS, Minister for Climate Change, on 6 January over concerns raised on the delay of some new developments in Special Areas of Conservation (SAC). The Minister responded on 27 January. Further conversations will take place with relevant members and stakeholders.
On 12 January, we met with members to discuss the Building Regulations (Part L and F Review - Stage 2B). The proposals intend to improve the energy efficiency requirements for non-domestic buildings and overheating in new dwellings. Following the feedback session, we submitted a written response to the Welsh Government on 17 January.
