RIBA Professional Services and Building Contracts are the legal documents produced between an architect or contractor and their client. The RIBA Code of Professional Conduct (PDF), together with the ARB Code of Conduct (PDF), clearly states that all terms of appointment between an architect and their client must be clear, agreed and recorded in writing before the commencement of any professional services.
RIBA has produced paper and now digital contracts for over 100 years. RIBA Professional Services and Building Contracts are designed to be clear and easy to use. They are suitable for architects, contractors, consultants, commercial businesses, clients, and anyone who needs to prepare a professional services or building contract for a project.
