Despite the extensive footprint, the scale intelligently works within the landscape and provides a serene environment for occupants and visitors, winning a 2022 RIBA South West Award and National Award.
High Sunderland, Loader Monteith - A 1957 Category-A listed modernist icon that suffered extensive structural and surface damage when a small fire broke out, the new owners took it as a positive opportunity to restore and enhance the energy efficiency to preserve its legacy for years to come. Setting a high standard for the impending future of modernist restoration work across the world, it won a 2022 RIAS Award and RIBA National Award.
