Cumberland Society of Architects: Social and talk with Mary Arnold-Forster

Join Cumberland Society of Architects (CSA) for a social get-together and a talk by Mary Arnold-Forster, an award-winning architect who designs meticulously detailed buildings inspired by the landscape.

The Cumberland Society of Architects (CSA) are pleased to welcome Mary Arnold-Forster - an award-winning architect based in Scotland - who designs meticulously detailed buildings inspired by the landscape and vernacular architecture of their place for a talk and social evening. The talk will centre on Alder, a beautiful publication founded and independently published by Mary Arnold-Forster Architects.

What is Alder?

"Alder is not an architectural magazine in the conventional sense. It is as much about landscape, patterns of life, materials, colours, and politics as it is about singular buildings or art objects. It’s a record of work by individuals who engage seriously with place and tradition to better understand what’s necessary and possible." - Custom Lane, Edinburgh

This event is free and open to all with more information about what to expect coming soon.

This is a fabulous opportunity to hear a fascinating talk and to socialise and network with fellow architects, architecture students, and built environment professionals over food, drinks, and discussion.
