Join us for the launch event of Deaf Architecture Front (DAF), presented by Christopher Laing, founder of DAF and well known as the founder of Signstrokes. This event includes presentations and an opportunity to network, alongside displays to demonstrate and raise awareness of the issues today.
DAF is a platform and a collective with a focus on activism, consultation, open resource, and research, with the aim to create a bridge between Deaf communities and architectural/spatial practice industries.
DAF will make a huge difference to the Deaf community by creating a bridge to architecture, aiming to remove the barriers that have been in place for many years preventing Deaf people from engaging with architectural practice.
The Deaf Architecture Front launch will be BSL interpreted.
Please note: This event is taking place in the Florence Hall on the first floor. We are making the event as inclusive as possible but please be aware access to the first floor is via passenger lift only. If you are a wheelchair user, please supply wheelchair dimensions on booking by emailing talks@riba.org
This event is part of the 2023 London Festival of Architecture
