Decolonising Architecture Symposium: Reimagining spaces and histories

Architects, historians, and academics come together to share strategies for transforming architectural practices and contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future in architecture and urban planning.

Join us for a full-day symposium where architects and academics explore how transforming architectural practices can contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future 

Decolonising Architecture: Reimagining spaces and histories will explore the intersections of architecture, colonial history, and decolonisation efforts. The symposium provides a platform for architects, academics, historians and academics to discuss and share strategies for transforming architectural practices and narratives to reflect more inclusive, equitable, and culturally sensitive approaches.

Over the course of the day, the programme will feature:

The symposium will also offer the opportunity to view RIBA’s current exhibition Raise the Roof: Building for Change.
