Future Leaders is a three-part programme, consisting of three individual half-day online events. It provides early career professionals with a comprehensive introduction to leadership through industry specific training. Sessions on key soft skills are delivered by experienced coaches, communication experts and thought leaders, while delegates also benefit from the invaluable applied knowledge and experience of some of the UK’s leading architects.
RIBA Future Leaders: Leading Change, 10 June
Leadership requires agility, flexibility and foresight in responding to change at different levels – fluctuations in project volume and practice finances, technological innovations and sudden changes to socioeconomic fundamentals as we have been experiencing since 2020. Leaders need to take a comprehensive approach to change initiatives and anticipate risks. Equally important is a mindset that looks for opportunity and scope for innovation in times of disruption. Those with a future focus can add significant value by informing clients' strategic decision-making.
Executive Coach Karen Fugle will provide the leadership framework on the day. Karen is an accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with more than 20 years of experience in the architectural industry. Karen founded SleepingGiant Consulting in 2014 after a successful career as a UK CAD/BIM consultant and she has been supporting architects, designers and construction professionals ever since.
Karen is a committee member of the Women in Architecture UK network and recently published the report: “Women in Architecture: Self-development and Career Advancement for Mid-Level Professionals”.
This event is RIBA CPD Approved. It is worth 3.5 hours of structured CPD.
