The Young Architectural Practitioner's Forum are delighted to host a conversation on designing and delivering award winning, sustainable neighbourhoods with development company TOWN and two practices they have worked closely with: Mole Architects, and 2019 Stirling Prize winners Mikhail Riches.
Recently, all three parties have worked together on the £30m redevelopment of Wolverton town centre in Milton Keynes, submitting a planning application to replace the 1970s Agora Shopping Centre with over 100 low carbon apartments, houses, and shops. Through the lens of this project and others such as Marmalade Lane, Park Hill and Goldsmiths Street, we will explore what it takes to facilitate high quality, sustainable housing from inception to inhabitation.
