NYSA Industry Updates: Permitted Development Rights in Rural Areas

Join the North Yorkshire Society of Architects (NYSA) for a talk by Steve Hesmondhalgh, from AMS Planning, to discuss what’s next for Class Q and other potential changes to permitted development rules in rural areas.

North Yorkshire Society of Architects have invited Steve Hesmondhalgh, from AMS Planning, to discuss what’s next for Class Q and other potential changes to permitted development rules in rural areas.

The government is to introduce yet more significant changes to a whole range of permitted development rights.

Among the radical changes are a further increase in proposed numbers from Class Q, the introduction of rights for ‘rural’ buildings - not just agricultural buildings - and the introduction of these PD rights in Conservation Areas, AONB’s, and even National Parks.

Steve will cover just a few of these planned changes and discuss the implications for rural clients, planners and architects, and the countryside.
