Join us for this RIBA Journal PiP Design for Sustainability webinar and hear from architectural experts who will present a diverse array of projects showing sustainable architecture and design.

We will cover the latest products and materials and explore how collaboration between architects, consultants, and manufacturers is helping create better designed, inspiring, sustainable and future-proof schools and education buildings.

Featured Speakers

  • Chloe Bullock, founder of Materialise Interiors and RIBA author, will share insights from case studies in her new book, Sustainable Interior Design | RIBA Books.

  • Michael Lynas, owner of Boehm Lynas, will deliver a case study presentation on The Arbour, 10 Carbon-negative, zero-waste and net energy positive houses in Walthamstow, London, with GS8 Developments.

  • Tim Greensmith, architect at Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios, will deliver a case study presentation of Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, (pictured). The repair and adaptive re-use of one of the most important buildings of the industrial revolution has delivered a low-carbon, mixed-use development and a catalyst for the economic regeneration of this area of Shrewsbury.

  • Patrick Bradley, founder of Patrick Bradley Architects, will deliver a case study presentation on Barneys Ruins, an old Irish Clachan, restored and converted with a modern twist, where both the old and the new seamlessly juxtapose, creating a small, yet unique barn conversion.

This webinar will be chaired by Jan Carlos Kucharek, deputy editor of RIBA Journal
