Join RIBA Cornwall for this special behind the scenes guided tour of St Michael's Mount. The current works are being undertaken by Cornish Heritage Builders to conserve and repair the Grade I Listed castle.
You'll travel by ferry to the island for this event, which includes a talk by Cornish Heritage Builders and Jonathan Rhind Architects about the project's progress and the remaining works to be done.
Hear about the challenges and interesting opportunities presented by the works with plenty of opportunity for questions. You'll also get to view the works in areas not usually accessed by the public.
The talk will be hosted in the Harbour Loft Café and will be accompanied by a cream tea, kindly provided by Jewson Builders Merchant who are sponsoring the event alongside RIBA.
The tour will finish with a short walk back to the mainland along the causeway.
Weather information
Please note that this is a weather dependent activity. We will aim to provide one to two days notice of island closure.
In the event that the island is closed, the tour will be moved to Wednesday 25 September.
