As part of RIBA Europe’s ongoing mission to support architects, promote inclusive urban design, and strengthen connections across the continent, we are pleased to host a special event in Copenhagen in celebration of International Women’s Day.
This evening panel will focus on making space for women and girls in urban environments, exploring how cities can be more inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of all citizens. Through discussion and shared expertise, we aim to highlight the importance of gender-inclusive urban planning, and challenge traditional approaches to city design.
Event highlights
Panel discussion: A conversation featuring Make Space for Girls - a UK-based charity advocating for gender-inclusive public spaces - alongside speakers from across the urban planning and design industries. The discussion will explore how public spaces can be designed to better serve women and girls, and the broader impact of inclusive urban planning.
Networking and drinks reception: An opportunity for professionals, advocates, and urbanists to connect and exchange ideas in an informal setting.
