RIBA Europe are delighted to announce its autumnal event for 2024, taking place in the beautiful city of Madrid, Spain.
Following the success of the this year's Paris and Milan events, RIBA Europe have organised an architecturally detailed programme for RIBA Members and enthusiasts alike. This will be a truly, unmissable event.
Spanning over a two day period, the tours focus on the transformation of specific existing buildings and unique places in Madrid. The tours will include; palace buildings, royal collections, engaging lectures, colloquiums, local buildings, and finishing with a networking cocktail reception - plus so much more.

Day one - Friday 25 October
12:30pm Visit to COAM - Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid.
Welcome and introduction by RIBA Europe Chapter, with a presentation of the design ideas and projects details of Torres de Colón by the architect Luis Vidal.
1:30pm Building tour at Torres de Colón. Meeting point main entrance.
4pm Guided tour at the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Museum of Royal Collections.
The Royal Palace location is Santiago Gate, Plaza de Oriente. Museum building designed by Architects Tuñón and Mansilla. Words by architect Emilio Tuñón
6:30pm Networking cocktail reception and presentations by architect Fenwick - Iribarren
Day two - Saturday 26 October
Meeting point at Alonso Martínez 2 - bus area.
9am Visit to Madrid Calle 30 and Madrid Rio and guided tour of Madrid Calle 30 offices and tunnel
11:30am Madrid Rio Gardens
Stop and enjoy the gardens at the Dominique Perrault bridge followed by a short walk and transfer by bus to Matadero Cultural Center.
12pm Arrival at Matadero Cultural Center and lunch
1:30pm Words by former Mayor of Madrid Alberto Ruiz Gallardon and team
2pm Words by the townhall office - new Madrid extension of Madrid Norte
2:30pm Words by Carlos Muriel from Buckley Gray Yeoman - what's coming up project wise in Spain, Europe and the UK.
3pm Guided tour of a variety of buildings and activities of the Cultural Center Matadero
4pm finish
