With climate change being an urgent challenge, it has never been more critical to step away from the "take-make-waste" model of consumption. Circular economy and Cradle 2 Cradle (C2C) offer a solution to this problem.
Cradle 2 Cradle is about viewing waste as an eternal resource and developing products and processes in the same way as a healthy ecological system where all resources are used effectively, and in a cyclical way (as opposed to the current linear system that can be better described as a cradle to grave system).
For this event, RIBA Gloucestershire have teamed up with Tarkett, to present a conversation with Rob Kragt, CSR Communication Manager and a European Cradle 2 Cradle ambassador since 2009.
Rob is an experienced and enthusiastic presenter, expert and trainer on the topics of Cradle 2 Cradle, circular economy and sustainable innovations in relation to health and wellbeing, as well as green building labels.
This presentation will cover:
- an explanation of Cradle 2 Cradle and how it is the basis of circular economy
- innovations and solutions as well as challenges
- indoor air quality, and health and wellbeing in relation to Covid-19
- how collaboration is key in realising these goals
