Open to RIBA Members and their families, the RIBA Gulf Chapter will be visiting the Mobility Pavilion, Japanese Pavilion, and thematic districts with guests from Fosters, Arup, Hopkins and more, who will talk about their work.
This event is an in-person tour of the Dubai Expo’s thematic districts with talks regarding the design and innovation of the districts and select iconic pavilions by members of the design teams involved. This is an opportunity to hear first-hand the key design inspiration, challenges, and achievements that have been accomplished in the delivery of LEED Gold and Platinum schemes. These will be expanded upon to ensure Dubai’s “District 2020” evolves into a contemporary, smart and sustainable city, forming a lasting legacy to the success of this outstanding global event.
Please note: For safety and practical reasons, this is a walking tour of the outside of the pavilions only. Visitors are welcome to enter the pavilions separately and can use the EXPO app to enable smart queue entry.
Dubai Expo 2020 entry tickets are not included in the registration of this event - you will need to arrange this yourself or have a season pass already.
