RIBA Hampshire's November lecture, titled 'Building in a Context' will be hosted by Graham Morrison of Allies and Morrison.
This month we are excited to bring the lecture series across the county to Petersfield. A huge thank you to ReFormat who will be hosting the lecture from their office in Petersfield.
Allies and Morrison have a number of notable projects, including the award-winning King's Cross development. As part of RIBA Hampshire's series on RIBA award-winning projects and award-winning architects, join us as they discuss some of their work.
The architecture of Allies and Morrison is rational and modernist, yet each building they have produced seems quite different from the others. The practice, recently shortlisted for the Stirling prize, has always been concerned with context both in the making of it - as at King's Cross - and with the response to it from the buildings themselves. Graham Morrison will talk about the practice's approach to context, showing projects both contemporary and from the past, from a small scale to large and from rural to urban.
This is sure to be a fascinating lecture, and spaces are limited so be sure to book your place now!
