Following on from the success of our first International Members' forum, covering the regions of Europe and the Americas, RIBA International are delighted to host the second online event, showcasing the work of our member-led global Chapters in Asia & Australasia, the Middle East and Africa.
This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate local initiatives and also connect, inform and encourage cross-fertilisation of ideas amongst chapter members.
The event will open with a talk from the RIBA President Muyiwa Oki, who will share his vision for RIBA, and how to create an accessible and connected global organisation, supporting members regardless of where they practice in the world. As part of the President's manifesto, the theme of 'future and emerging architects' will be showcased at the event with case-studies from local members.
There will also be introductions from the RIBA International Council Representatives, Ruffina Thilakaratne (Council representative for Asia and Australasia region ) and Mark Harris (Council representative for Middle East and Africa region).
