RIBA Journal - along with our partners, Hilti - invite you to attend our first northern fire safety in design and construction seminar, which takes place on 28 November.
Conference objectives
The conference aims to provide insights and guidance relating to the Building Safety Act by exploring the ‘new normal’ in fire safety design and construction.
Expert panellists will share their experiences on integrating regulatory compliance into process, and the practicalities of working with multiple stakeholders to achieve regulatory compliance.
There will be holistic insights on lessons being learned, as well as guidance that can enable the built environment profession to go beyond compliance and achieve excellence.
We will cover the new gateways and approvals process for all building works, competence and demonstrating competence, the designer and principal designer duties, and new technologies that can assist design and construction with fire stopping to improve fire safety.
A standing buffet lunch will also be served.
