Great British Buildings Housing lecture

This year’s RIBA London Awards saw a record number of winning entries. To reflect the breadth of exceptional schemes selected by this year’s juries, RIBA London is pleased to present a Great British Buildings lecture series in addition to this year’s building tours. Throughout Autumn we will be exploring four different building typologies: Housing, Education, Civic and Arts and Heritage.

Join us on Wednesday 13 September for the first of our Great British Buildings talks on Housing as we discuss three of this year’s exemplar schemes:

Paul Karakusevic, Partner at Karakusevic Carson Architects will discuss Dujardin Mews

The first council-led social housing delivered by the local borough of Enfield in 40 years.

Iain Cochran from Hawkins\Brown will discuss St John's Hill, Burridge Gardens

Phase 1 of this project commissioned by the Peabody Housing Association consists of 154 mixed tenure homes delivered to replace outdated housing stock.

Finally, Craig Casci, from GRID Architects will discuss Vantage Point

The clever redesign of a 1970s office block in order to provide new rental properties in Archway, North London.

Get an exclusive insight into each project, followed by a panel discussion exploring the intricacies of working within the Housing typology. Matthew Lloyd, Director of Matthew Lloyd Architects and this year’s Jury Chair for South West London will lead the discussion.
