RIBA North East Sustainability Mastermind: Responding to the Biodiversity Crisis – An Ecologist’s View

Join us for this month's RIBA North East Sustainability Mastermind session. Cameron Carmichael will discuss responding to the Biodiversity Crisis.

Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) is now common a feature of building design. To respond to the Biodiversity Crisis we ask, ‘What does good BNG integration look like?’ Is it a solution or a hindrance to improving biodiversity. What do architects need to know to make improvements for biodiversity on every project?

About the expert speaker, Cameron Carmichael at Biodiverse Consulting

Cameron is a senior ecologist specialising in Biodiversity Net Gain and Nutrient Neutrality, with a keen interest in nature based solutions. He has experience with a variety of habitat and protected species surveys.

As well as ecological surveys and reports, Cameron is highly experienced in the use of tools such as the Defra Biodiversity Metrics and the Nutrient Budget Calculator.

We will also be hosting a Q and A session during the event. This will be a valuable opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have, whether related to the topic being discussed or not, to our expert speaker.
