This study day session is part of our programming for the RIBA Photo Festival 2023.
This RIBA Photo Festival study day session will be led by an international selection of invited speakers including both prominent specialists in the field and emerging scholars.
This session will include a panel discussion on interpreting architectural photography, followed by individual presentations.

Ágnes Anna Sebestyén - Budapest-based art historian and curator at the Hungarian Museum of Architecture and Monument Protection Documentation Centre
Neal Shasore - Head of School and Chief Executive at the London School of Architecture
Marco Iuliano (PhD, MPhil, Diploma) - Italian architect, currently teaching at the University of Liverpool School of Architecture (LSA)
Chair: Iñaki Bergera (PhD, MDes) - photographer, architect and Full Professor at the University of Zaragoza

Between the two sessions, all participants will be able to attend the presentation: Scopio editorial project: a catalyst for discussion and construction of architectural ideas, by Pedro Leão Neto, University of Porto.
This editorial project, focused on documentary and artistic photography related to architecture, has produced a remarkable series of publications in magazine and book format, as well as an online photographic archive. Please email photo@riba.org to register for this presentation.
