We have invited three leading experts to speak about how cutting edge technologies are being driven by the built environment to meet customers needs.
The RIBA recognise that architects want to deliver great design to client’s specifications and offer solutions that embrace new technology - but how do we get there? These talks hope to keep the conversation going.
Keynote speakers:
- Scott Grant, CEO, Soluis Group
- Helen Groves, Associate Architect, Atkins UK & Europe
- Dave Ewing, Protolabs (CNC Manufacuring)
Soluis group:
CEO Scott Grant will provide insights into his team’s recent work on projects of various scales and in different sectors. In particular, he will be focusing on the use of different visualisation platforms that have enabled interactive engagement experiences that are helping redefine the nature of visual communication in design, construction and property. During a time when face-to-face interactions may be limited, Soluis is using the latest in digital technologies to take audiences forward in time to facilitate informed discussion and generate lasting memories with convincing virtual representations of built environments.
Atkins EU and UK:
Helen Groves, Associate Architect at Atkins, will speak to us about Smart Cities. This presentation will explore the opportunities that data and technology can bring to working with communities to create bespoke solutions.
Helen is a highly experienced architect who leads the Atkins education team nationally. She is passionate about the importance of well-designed buildings and works with clients from pre-concept data and briefing to post-delivery, to create exciting and engaging spaces for people.
Protolabs:
Dave Ewing, Product Manager at Protolabs for CNC manufacturing, talks about their world-leading digital prototypes and on-demand production parts, that has helped accelerate marketing solutions and strategically leverage the digital design process.
