Join us for an unforgettable evening honouring the Royal Gold Medal 2025 recipients SANAA, the collaborative practice of Japanese architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa.
You can learn more about their leading practice as they deliver a keynote lecture. Gain insights into their work which has reshaped the global design landscape through its simplicity, elegance and use of light.
You’ll also be able to see a new exhibition of their remarkable work, documented by long-term collaborator and friend, photographer Iwan Baan and see a newly commissioned film that explores the unique collaborative nature of their partnership and captures some of their exceptional buildings in use.

Find out more about the 2025 Royal Gold Medal which is approved personally by His Majesty the King. Given in recognition for a lifetime’s work in the advancement of architecture it is one of the world’s highest honours in architecture.

This event takes places across several floors in the building with the main activity in the Florence Hall and Jarvis Lecture Theatre. These are both accessed via the stairs or passenger lift only (Lift dimensions: Width 0.75m x Depth 0.90m x Height 2.15m).
