The 2024 RIBA + VitrA talks series invites speakers and panels of leading architects to explore architecture as a catalyst for positive urban and social change.
For the international talk in Istanbul, we welcome Craig Dykers, Founding Partner of global transdisciplinary practice, Snøhetta, to discuss living buildings, thoughtful landscapes.
Keynote speaker
Craig Dykers
Craig will discuss how Snøhetta's contreintuitive creative process opens the door for healthy connections between architecture and landscape, focusing on new projects such as the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library where plants and animals commingle with human-oriented programmes. In a world of polarization between people and places, this work shows how design can strengthen our relationship with the world around us.
Following the keynote, Craig will participate in an in-conversation with Merve Nur Saygi, VitrA Bathrooms, and an audience Q&A.
Note: This talk will take place at the ICEC (Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre). A recording will be available to watch on architecture.com following the event.
The RIBA + VitrA partnership reflects a shared commitment to add social, economic, and cultural value to society, and VitrA Bathrooms are proud to be supporting such an inspiring programme.
