Tell us about your practice? What do you stand for?

Rodić Davidson is an award-winning architecture and interior design firm with expertise in project management, heritage, and planning consultancy.

The practice designs and delivers bright, spacious, comfortable homes in London’s most desirable neighbourhoods and has extensive experience building, extending, and refurbishing properties in the prime central London areas of Knightsbridge, Kensington, Belgravia, and Mayfair. Our studio is located nearby in Bloomsbury and the close proximity enables close oversight and management of projects during construction. We have a long-standing and trusted relationship with London’s best agencies, consultants, and craftspeople allowing it to offer clients a complete service from pre-acquisition advice through to ongoing care and management after project completion.

What differentiates you from other architects? How do you describe your approach to design?

Rodić Davidson does not have a design ‘style’. Instead, the design team takes time to understand the project brief and the client’s ambitions and desires. The Practice is used to working with clients from all over the world and tailors its communication arrangements to suit the client and the project. Building work can be time-consuming and complex and the Practice seeks to communicate regularly and clearly, simplifying the process wherever possible. Our integrated Design and Project Management service allows us to oversee projects from initial concept design through to completion.

What projects are you currently working on?

The majority of our work is in prime Central London where we are currently working on a variety of projects ranging from a 300-bedroom hotel in Piccadilly to a contemporary new-build house in Chelsea. We are the lead design architect for a luxury residential scheme in Knightsbridge where seven new luxury apartments are being created behind a retained façade nearby to Harrods. On occasion, we also work overseas, most recently working on a 400-bedroom hotel in the historic central quarter of Amsterdam.

Why do clients come to you? What kind of clients do you work with?

The majority of our clients come by referral. They value our design and project management ability, our personal service and our discretion. Typically, our clients comprise private individuals, family offices, property investors, and luxury residential developers. We also work for design-led boutique hotel operators.

What is your special focus for Cityscape Global 2024?

We have undertaken work for Saudi clients over the years and we would like to build on these personal relationships by offering our expertise to clients who are looking to invest and develop property in Central London.

We are also looking to offer our design expertise to clients who may be attracted to a London-based, relationship-driven, design company that has the ambition and ability to work on residential and hotel projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other countries in the Middle East.

Is there anything exciting on the horizon?

Looking ahead, we are excited to be increasingly asked to incorporate emerging technologies and sustainability measures into our upcoming projects. Many of our London projects involve the adaption and refurbishment of heritage buildings and we are finding that our clients are increasingly wanting to put sustainability upgrades as a major part of refurbishment projects. We have recently been successful in achieving several notable permissions, including achieving consent to create the first ever BREEAM Outstanding Grade 2* Listed building in the UK.

We are excited by the contribution that we can make and how individual successes can help promote changes to local and national policy.
