Twenty-three buildings and a masterplan for a new urban district in Cambridge have been shortlisted for RIBA East 2019 Awards.

The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has today (Thursday 7 March 2019) opened applications for the 2019 Norman Foster Travelling Scholarship.

University of Hertfordshire student Sonal Veerabhadra was presented with an RIBA East Student Prize at the Hertfordshire Association of Architects dinner on 15 November.

RIBA East and four Cambridge-based architects worked with Bottisham Village College to provide an architectural strand for the Lottery Funded Project celebrating the college's 80th anniversary.

"SUPERSTRUCTURES: The New Architecture 1960–1990" marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Sainsbury Centre gallery, the first public building designed by Norman Foster. Sainsbury Centre Curator Monserrat Pis Marcos explains how materials loaned from the RIBA Collection are woven into the exhibition to tell the story of architecture’s fascination with technology in the post-war decades.
